McLaren Specialists
Carbon-tub supercars, thin factory paint, and a conservatism-first approach to correction.
McLaren in Downtown Toronto
McLaren is the rarest of the exotic marques in downtown Toronto, which is exactly why owners want a studio that understands the car. The carbon-tub construction, weight-reduction focus, and factory paint processes on a 720S or 765LT are not the same conversation as a Ferrari or Lamborghini. Paint is often thinner, panel gaps tighter, and the factory recommendation list shorter because McLaren's detailing ecosystem in North America is still evolving.
Most McLarens we see come from Yorkville and Rosedale garages. Some are daily driven in summer; most are weekend and seasonal cars that store October to April. Aventador-level PPF coverage is common on 720S and 765LT — the forward-facing surfaces pick up stone strikes fast even on light driving, and the low nose makes driveway and ramp clearance a genuine concern.
Our approach on every McLaren starts with paint thickness measurement and a conversation about the owner's plans. If the car is being kept long term, full-body PPF with ceramic over the top is the best economics. If the car will be sold within 2–3 years, targeted front-end PPF and ceramic everywhere is usually the right cost-benefit.
What owners deal with — and what we build the service plan around
McLaren paint is on the thinner end of the OEM range. Paint thickness measurement before any correction work is non-negotiable — especially on 675LT, 600LT, 720S, 765LT, and Senna models where weight-reduction processes may affect paint depth.
McLaren nose clearance is tight. Driveway aprons, condo garage ramps, and steep parking lot entries all risk splitter scrape. Front-end PPF and a nose-lift that works is the standard combination.
The signature upward-opening doors on McLaren require specific care when accessing interior surfaces for detailing. We work around the mechanism with a technique that protects door seals and hinge mechanisms.
Exposed carbon fibre on hood vents, rear diffuser, splitter, and mirror caps needs carbon-specific protection. UV fade on unprotected clear-coated carbon is visible within a single Toronto summer.
McLaren interiors rely heavily on Alcantara with carbon-fibre trim. Alcantara needs pH-neutral water-based cleaning — standard auto interior products permanently mat the nap.
Most McLarens store October to April. Pre-storage detail with ceramic refresh and post-storage spring reveal are the common annual service pair. Our Concours Storage and Concours Reveal packages are built for exactly this.
Toronto Presence
McLaren ownership concentrates in Yorkville, Rosedale, and Bridle Path, with some Liberty Village and King West presence. McLaren Toronto dealer is a regular referral partner. Most McLarens store October to April rather than daily drive through winter.
Ordered by what a typical owner benefits from first
Full-body or front-clip PPF is the McLaren standard. Once-installed, protects factory paint for the life of the car. Range typically $6,000 to $10,500 depending on coverage.
Applied over PPF and any uncovered panels. Brings out the depth of McLaren factory colours and makes maintenance washing faster.
Conservative correction with measured cuts on thin McLaren paint. Aggressive work is never appropriate on these cars.
Alcantara and carbon interior components need specific care. pH-neutral cleaners only. Coating-safe protectants on carbon trim.
Toronto Weather Guarantee
If snow, heavy rain, or salt spray hits your car within 10 days of your exterior service, bring it back for a free re-wash. We detail in a Toronto climate — our guarantee matches it.
McLaren Maintenance
For daily-driven McLarens, our monthly memberships — Express $199, Signature $349, Collector $599 — cover the frequency most owners actually need. For seasonal cars, one-off Diamond details plus storage prep is usually the better fit.
