From a downtown passion project to Hotel X
Evolve started because downtown Toronto never had a detailing option that matched the cars that lived here. Drive-thrus left swirl marks. Hand washes meant driving to the suburbs. Nothing downtown, nothing to the standard a luxury owner expects.
We set up inside Hotel X Toronto — the city's premier waterfront lifestyle hotel — because the environment matters. Climate-controlled bay. Concrete floor. Proper lighting. The kind of setup every serious detailer dreams about, inside the kind of building that treats cars the way they should be treated.
The goal has never changed: bring back the factory finish, or beat it. Whether it's a weekly wash or a full multi-stage paint correction, everything gets the same attention to detail.
Today Evolve is a division of Evolve Transport, serving owners across downtown Toronto — from daily commuters to collectors — with a growing menu that includes hand detailing, paint correction, ceramic coating, paint protection film, and window tinting.
Four things we're not willing to compromise
Every paint correction starts with a digital paint-thickness gauge reading, panel by panel. If we take off clear coat, we know exactly how much. No guessing, no ruined factory paint.
The ceramic coatings and PPF films we install are the same professional-grade products used in Porsche, Mercedes, and Bentley dealer detail programs — not consumer sprays rebranded with a marketing label.
Our underground bay at Hotel X runs overnight. Drop off at 6pm, pick up detailed at 8am. It is the only way to run multi-day coating and PPF work without disrupting your week.
Every service ships with a documented write-up — paint thickness readings, correction stage notes, coating product and batch number, warranty documentation. If a car we worked on ever needs a follow-up, we have the records.
Why the location matters
Hotel X Toronto is a five-star waterfront lifestyle hotel at 111 Princes' Blvd, with an on-site underground parking structure purpose-built for its guests and tenants. It's one of the few buildings in the downtown core with the space, security, and infrastructure to host a proper detail studio.
Evolve operates out of the dedicated detailing bay — climate-controlled, professional lighting, secure access. Every job runs indoors, out of the weather, with the kind of consistent conditions that matter when you're correcting paint or curing a ceramic coating.
The real advantage for owners is convenience. Valet drop-off at the hotel entrance, a lounge to wait in, six-day-a-week hours, and a central location five minutes from the Gardiner — connected to the Financial District, King West, Liberty Village, and the waterfront.
Open Monday to Friday 8 AM – 6 PM, Saturday 9 AM – 5 PM. Drop off before work, pick up after.

Evolve Detailing is a division of Evolve Transport, a family-owned downtown Toronto transportation business. The detailing studio was launched to serve the same downtown Toronto clientele that already used Evolve Transport for limousine and private car service.
